Smeared Eyeliner & Faded Lipstick: Mending Broken Wings and Writing the Manuscript to the Play PDF Print E-mail
Caneeka E. Miller has plunged into the world of self-publishing. This new author has compiled her best poetry and written her first book; entitled Smeared Eyeliner & Faded Lipstick, which will soon be available on amazon.com but is currently available on the lulu website. Wanting to have full control of her writings, this author published her book in conjunction with Lulu, (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.

Smeared Eyeliner & Faded Lipstick is a diverse work of original poetry. The poems articulate a variety of subject matters, from the different faces of love passionately and painfully, to growing up without and never meeting her biological father, to educating others on the importance of ending violence against women through education. Caneeka Miller wrote Smeared Eyeliner & Faded Lipstick as a way to share her experiences with the world.

Smeared Eyeliner and Faded Lipstick can be found at http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/smeared-eyeliner-faded-lipstick/5581089.

Lulu.com is the premier marketplace for digital content on the Internet, with over 300,000 recently published titles, and more than 4,000 new titles added each week, created by people in 80 different countries. Lulu is changing the world of publishing by enabling the creators of books, video, periodicals, multimedia and other content to publish their work themselves with complete editorial and copyright control. With Lulu offices in the US, Canada the UK and Europe, Lulu customers can reach the globe.

Growing up a shy young lady, Caneeka Miller has been writing poetry since the tender age of eleven after finding a Paul Laurence Dunbar book in her aunt’s attic. From that moment poetry became more than a hobby but a way of life. Those that know Caneeka have witnessed her write words that would later form a poem on napkins, sticky notes, on her hand, on the wall of the shower; anywhere she could make words so that she wouldn’t forget them. She has published a few poems throughout grade and high school but never a compilation of poetry into book form. Receiving a Bachelor of Science in Human Development with a concentration in Family Studies from the University of Alabama, Caneeka has always had the desire to make an impact on families whether through activism or through the written world. Caneeka hopes to help the younger generation discover their hidden voices so that they can change the world: One word at a time.
