Winona State University Student Wins Holiday Card Design Contest PDF Print E-mail
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is proud to announce Winona State University student Kaitlin Corrigan (graphic design, 2010), is the winner of the 2009 NSCS Holiday Card Contest. NSCS will send the card featuring her design to NSCS’ partners and vendors.

NSCS members voted for the winning card in an online poll. Corrigan’s card won over 50 percent of the votes cast.

“My typography class was my inspiration for this card,” Corrigan said. “We've been playing with type a lot, so I wanted to explore it on the card. I spent around two hours on the card - just playing with placement, color, etc. I wanted to capture NSCS's idea of Integrity and all the things that go into it. I used words like community, leadership, services, careers, achievement, and so on to convey that message.”

NSCS held its first holiday card contest in 2003.

“Kaitlin’s card truly represents the spirit of the holidays,” NSCS’ Executive Director Stephen E. Loflin said. “The NSCS Holiday Card Contest is another unique opportunity to highlight the talent and creativity of our members.”
