Khalil Ismail Drops “Sometimes” Video PDF Print E-mail
Mid-Atlantic-based Hip Hop artist Khalil Ismail releases the first video for the single “Sometimes” from his critically acclaimed debut album The Calm Before the Storm.

“Sometimes” is the second single from the album. The video was shot in Baltimore, Maryland, and features upcoming actors Zahir Coney and Vichelle Jones in a creative duel cinematic storyline—one depicting the lyrics of the song verbatim, and the other more symbolically using the song as narration for Khalil’s own relationship with Hip Hop itself. The video was shot in HD by Baltimore based shooter Antar Hanif (www.iamshooter.com) and is the directorial debut of Kayona Ebony Brown.

Khalil Ismail’s influences range from the classic soul of Donnie Hathaway to the hip hop soul of Lauryn Hill, and with that the lyrical and melodic “Sometimes” shows where he plans to go musically. His debut album The Calm Before the Storm was released by The Brown’stone Recording Company and Khalil’s own Enspire Entertainment label summer 2009. The project is available on most online music outlets and at www.khalilmusic.com.

Khalil Ismail is an Alternative Hip Hop/Soul artist from the Washington, DC/Baltimore region.
