Tyco Electronics Ltd.
announced that, at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the company held today, shareholders approved two quarterly dividends of US$0.16 per share in the form of a capital reduction for each of the first and second quarters of fiscal year 2010. Payments of the dividends will be made to holders of record on the record dates for each dividend shortly after effectiveness of the applicable capital reduction, which are expected to be in the quarterly periods ending Dec. 25, 2009 and March 26, 2010.
